PRIYA DIAS is a celebrity from Bangladesh. She is a Dance Artist, Choreographer, Instructor and a famous Anchor, Model and Actress from Bangladesh. In the past, she has anchored in multiple TV shows, acted in numerous Dramas and modeled for several magazines, newspapers, and TV studios.

 

She has been working with children since 2002, for her biggest TV show Tiffiner Fankey (টিফিনের ফাঁকে) on NTV-- One of Bangladesh's #1 Kids TV show and received recognition from Unicef.

 

She started her dance training from the age of 4 at Jhankar Lolito KOLA Academy (ঝংকার ললিতকলা একাডেমী)  and completed her 5 years dance course there, then joined Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Dhaka in 1993 (বাংলাদেশ শিল্পকলা একাডেমি) as a dance performer. She's visited multiple countries: India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives, Thailand, Singapore, China, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, France, Austria, Sweden, Italy, United Kingdom, America, and so many more as a Dance Ambassador/Performer to represent Bangladesh with her co-artistes. She also represented Bangladesh, along with her husband film & TV actor Tony Dias, during the iconic 2007 SAARC Car Rally, touring the SAARC countries. She's earned plenty of experience in the art of dance with 10 years of extensive training under renowned gurus such as: Shamim Ara Nipa (শামীম আরা নিপা),Shibli Mohammad (শিবলী মোহাম্মদ), Saju Ahmed (সাজু আহমেদ), Dipa Khandaker (দীপা খন্দকার), Irin Parvin (আইরিন পারভীন), Sarwar Ahmed (সারোয়ার আহমেদ), Sultana Haider (সুলতানা হায়দার), Kabirul Islam Ratan (কবিরুল ইসলাম রতন), and performed with them as well.

 

Starting her career at 10 years old she did work with numerous TV channels, newspapers, magazines, and many big organizations, like national channel BTV, NTV, ETV, RTV, ATN Bangla, Channel-I, Channel One, Boishakhi TV, BanglaVision, Binodon bichitra (বিনোদন বিচিত্রা), Ananda bhuban (আনন্দ ভুবন), Anannya (অনন্যা), Daily Janakantha (দৈনিক জনকন্ঠ),The Daily Ittefaq (দৈনিক ইত্তেফাক), Daily Samakal (দৈনিক সমকাল), Bhorer Kagoj (ভোরের কাগজ) ,Prothom Alo (প্রথম আলো), Manabzamin (দৈনিক মানবজমিন), Jugantor (দৈনিক যুগান্তর), Jaijaidin (যায়যায়দিন), The Daily Star & Unicif. She's one of the enlisted artists for national Bangladesh Television (বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশন) as a dance artiste (since 1993) and drama artist (since 2001).

 

She's received so many awards from several Bangladeshi organizations and also from different states of the U.S. by the mayors, governors, and other government organizations as well, for her outstanding contribution to the Bangladeshi American culture.

 

Priya Dias has taken on a life-long vision to share the richness of Bangla culture and heritage through the art of dance. Her goal with her students is to give them a sense of identity, self pride, cultural enlightenment, grace, discipline, and share the celebration of beauty, friendship, and admiration with their community, pushing them to accomplish wonderful achievements in their future.
